In a bizarre collaboration that challenges conventional forecasts, the game developer has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering free additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Revealed
According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of banned practices and fearsome changes echo through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden sect.
The adventure concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Metamorphoses
The preview showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to numerous items hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
